How the hell do I beat him?
I'm looking for some advice on beating N.O.X, because every time i try he just wipes us out for no reason. I have a ranger hero with broad head arrow, and 2 interrupts, so N.O.X is always dazed, and his spells are ALWAYS interrupted. I'm just wondering how i'm supposed to beat him when he manages to wipe out our party in one, without acctually casting anything successfully.
Thanks in advance |

[Xinrae's Weapon][Protective Spirit] and that spirit from the Restoration attribute line that does the same as protective spirit
plus don't forget the Daze Interrupter ranger... most important.^^ Last edited by Archress Shayleigh; May 02, 2009 at 07:29 PM // 19:29.. |

Positioning can be important. I found that running to the rear center part of the stage and flagging heros/hench in a squat diamond works well. Monk in rear with heros to the sides slightly forward of the monk and hench to the front of the diamond has worked for Ele, Necro, ranger and monk toons I have run thru. You might want to consider taking Odurra (mesmer) with henchies. Kill the most damaging NOX spawns nearby when possible and bring lots of degen. [Mark of Rodgort] and a fire wand with no other spells will contribute 1000 damage/minute. (That said, yes, you definetly want to use other spells :P) GL ps: there are prolly some NOX vidios on utube..no guarantee tho Last edited by Antares Ascending; May 02, 2009 at 08:00 PM // 20:00.. |

If I ran Sabway, he could just wipe out our party with one of his skills because there's no interrupts, unless i'm supposed to kill the little golems?

How to beat NOX:
1) Log in 2) Chose a character to play with 3) Go to NOX's location 4) Beat him On more serious side: I useually set my H/H near NOX to keep him busy while I go around killing his spawns. Haven't failed yet. |

hmm...
Last time I beat him his minions didnt do anything - I mean it, I didn't attack them and they didnt attack me. I just flagged my heroes and henchies behind a pole and attack (as a moebious sin). No special interrupt (only had oddura) and no special heroes (sabway), other 3 hechies were 2 monks and devona. |

Try keeping your BHA ranger locked on NOX while the rest of the group kills the bit golems as they spawn. When he starts blowing up the golems himself, switch all your firepower to him, while keeping your group clear of the explosions.

Well, I only have 3 heroes, so I can't run 5 builds. Everything that's been said here that I can do, has failed miserably. The first attempt I did with sabway, where I killed the little golems got him to 30% health, then he totally wiped my party. I'm out of ideas now, so honestly, how did everyone beat him? I'm a warrior btw

I failed four times before finally beating him. Try what Jimbo above suggests. Doing it this way will allow you to reduce the damage Nox does by killing bit golems then you will last longer in the fight against him. Sounds like you almost beat him. Nox shuts down before his health is all gone.

Remember: Once you get N.O.X.'s health down to 50% his lackeys self destruct and cause a huge amount of damage to your whole team. Get someone with a few spells to nullify that damage so you whole team won't get blasted to death in one hit. You can also get a tank that spams Save Yourselves. The increase in armor by 100 helps. Either way you set up to null the damage you just have to bring a group of two good healers or three.

I've run 10 toons through, and what seems to work is a prot monk, bha ranger, sv necro, 2 healer henchies, mesmer henchie, and earth henchie (this will vary, but assumes you do enough damage to take out the spawns by yourself.) Lock them onto nox, then when a golem spawns near you kill it. Priority goes to the breaker golem, then everything else, then like the fire and thunder ones last. They don't actually attack. If you're getting overwhelmed, then ping for your h/h to help kill a bunch of the golems before you lock them into nox again. Once he blows them up the key is to flag your h/h apart so one spawning golem will not party wipe you. Remember golems are resistant to fire and will not burn, so don't bother with a fire ele.
